Dogs Helping People

A team of volunteers from the charity 'Pet Therapy' brought their dogs to the March WINGS theme meeting. We enjoyed an informative talk by Paula who told us about the charity's origins and the type of help the pets give to patients and children. The dogs provide comfort to sick hospital patients; visit Rest-Home residents and even encourage children in school with their reading. The children love reading to the dogs as they are such good listeners. Valuable work by the committed volunteers and their pets.
