
Sunday Spring Brunch
We enjoyed a delicious ‘bring a plate’ brunch and had great fun with Jenn teaching us some line dancing to a ‘slight’ cowboy theme, wearing our cowboy hats and country music. A Big Day in at the Library
A fun and entertaining day at Whangarei Central Library's "A Big Day in at the Library". It was a great opportunity to meet lots of people and share the motto of WINGS - "Bloom where you are planted". It was a fantastic day with live music, free tea/coffee and snack offered by the Library to all the stall holders. Different community groups gathered to celebrate everything that’s great about the library and our community.

Octagon Theatre
A small group of WINGS members and friends, once again, enjoyed a night out at the Octagon Theatre where an entertaining visit to the village of Little Grimley was preceded by a delicious three course meal. A great way to spend a Friday evening!

WINGS members help to Keep Whangarei Beautiful
A team of WINGS ladies and one man braved the elements on Tuesday morning to collect litter around the Loop as part of the Keep Whangarei Beautiful initiative sponsored by G.J.Gardner. We covered the whole circuit and managed to fill two large sacks with every type of rubbish ranging from plastic wrappers, cigarette ends, scraps of balloons, tissues and even a discarded hub cap. "The first environment worth saving is you". Indeed it is. A very interesting Wednesday evening which was led by Sophia Xiao-Colley (Owner at DeSan Health, Whangarei)) taught us how SIMPLE health is. S- Sleep -- Sleep when your body says to, you will wake up without the alarm clock I- In/Out -- A good Diet, plenty of water and enough minerals can be beneficial M- Mind --- Do your best, hold your integrity, that will be a peaceful thing for our mind P- Posture -- maintaining
