A visit to a Farm with a Church and Waterfall

We enjoyed a lovely visit to a farm in Ruatangata with amazing views of the surrounding countryside, a small, architecturally designed wooden church built in 2003 and a waterfall. After an easy walk we had a picnic on the garden lawn.

‘Our visit to the farm with the small wooden church, built by the present owner and a group of volunteers, was very special. The church is constructed from NZ native timber with a heavy Macrocarpa door. The waterfall looked spectacular after the recent rain. Many thanks to Lindsey and the Events Team for such a memorable outing. ‘

"A very enjoyable trip. It was lovely to see the church and to hear about its history and construction. It is always nice to go somewhere new and to see one of the many hidden gems around Whangarei."

‘A wonderful day out to see a miniature and naturally formed version of the Niagara Falls and a small, beautifully built church. Our host Rosemary was delightful and informative. We went for a walk and had a picnic lunch on her front lawn, overlooking the waterfall. Many thanks for a wonderful and well organised event. ‘
