The annual WINGS visit to Planetarium North proved, once again, to be a popular event on our social calendar. The weather was cold and rainy, but thanks to the magic of the planetarium, a large group of WINGS members, family and friends were able to view a clear night sky in the dome of the planetarium. Covering topics ranging from the constellations, to navigation by the stars, to the size of the universe, astronomer Peter Felhofer provided a fascinating glimpse into the world above and was happy to provide answers to a wide range of questions.
Although we were not fortunate enough to visit on a fine night, and therefore could not view the stars through the telescope, Peter invited us to return when the skies are clear for a free viewing of the stars.
