Trade Aid shopping evening was fun and informative. We learnt how Trade Aid is all about change, and is touching thousands of lives around the world. Trade Aid helps artisans from developing countries improve their living standards, by giving them a fair pay, proving ongoing trainings, creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers, no discrimination and much more. The weather couldn't have been better for the day. The sunshine and cool breeze made this event so perfect! The tour started at Lian's beautiful garden that was turned into a mini bazar, with awesome small businesses selling their products and crafts. Cooking together is always fun. As we WINGS ladies know that the joy of learning new recipes and exploring food from different parts of the globe can be so exciting. This time it was Vegan recipes and the menu designed by our host Mina, who kindly opened up her kitchen for 13 ladies. Oh My Gosh, what a quiz night it was! And the winning group gets a pumpkin pie. Who wouldn't compete fiercely for that! So the Quiz was about American and Canadian Thanksgiving. With a number of question designed by Leslie and Gina, the American Version and the Canadian version designed by Liane and Robyn. The questions got us all thinking hard. We ended the evening with some amazing Thanksgiving food and yes we also had THE Turkey. YUM!
