Meet
us every Friday morning 10am to 12pm for a cup of coffee. Children
welcomed!

THURSDAY join the WINGS ladies on a beautiful nature walk. Call

WINGS TUESDAY CRAFT DAY AT THE MIGRANT CENTRE
WINGS Craft day mainly with different tutors covering
needlefelting, knitting, crocheting and other crafts. All women are
welcome to join, with an emphasisfor women whom English is not their
first language. Join us for afternoon tea.
Some materials will be proivded.

7:00pm,
$3.00 at the door, members free. 18 Rust Ave. at the Whangarei Club
(across from the Old Library). Parking on street or side of building.
Bring in your unwanted gifts and swap it for something you do
like. Make sure you do not bring your friends who gave you the gift.
Enjoy a chit chat evening and icebreaker games and a chance to meet new
people.
FOOD: Bring your favourite munchies along...Optional!

4th JANAUARY 2012- WEDNESDAY- COMMUNITY GUIDED SNORKEL DAY AT REOTAHI-
FREE GUIDE AND GEAR PROVIDED. JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY. 11AM-4:00PM.
Leslie will be there to represent WINGS and help with the tour.

David Muir from the Quarry Gardens and Nadine Whitton from
the Garden Discovery Tour will be our guest speakers. Bring a plant to
swap for another. Special guests Ngati Whau Wahine from the Whakapara Marae will be joing us.
FOOD THEME: a variety of different platters from around the world.
6th FEBRUARY 2012- MONDAY: WAITANGI DAY
- 8:00 AM. TREATY GROUNDS. Have you been to Waitangi Day??? It is a
must do on your list. Meet at the Car park at the ASB Kensington
Leisure Centre. Email wingsnz@hotmail.com or call 430 3221 asap if you
are interested in joining the WINGS crowd. We are hiring a van. Tickets prices if we get 13 people are $27.00 or if only 10 people in van tickets are $35.00. DEADLINE: 18th JANUARY 2012. CALL TODAY!!! We plan to meet up with the Ngati Hau
Wahine and their families for a picnic. There are also free
children's rides.
8th FEBRUARY 2012-WEDNESDAY: CHICKS AT THE FLICKS -
6:30pm, $25.00 includes meet and greet by the manager, movie, mocktail,
and a goody bag. Every month we will meet at the cinema. Get your
tickets and sign up for your VIP pass. Let Lisa (021 2151245) know that
you are coming and she will reserve your seat. MOVIE: THE VOW- A husband endeavors to win back his new bride's heart after she loses her
memory in a tragic car accident in this romantic drama starring Rachel McAdams
and Channing Tatum. 13th FEBRUARY 2012- MONDAY: INTERNATIONAL TEA CEREMONY
- 12:15pm. 71 Bank St. Migrant Centre. Once a month a different
country will host a traditional tea ceremony, GINA, LIANE AND FRIENDS from NORTH AMERICA will be our hosts serving Canadian and American tea and food. Learn about the soical and cultural rituals and customs of tea.

you are attending. CANCELLATION POLICY- Please give us two days notice if you
have to cancel as the ladies are catering for a certain amount of
people.
17th FEBRUARY 2012- FRIDAY: FRIDAY COFFEE TRIP TO "THE OFFICE" in Mangatapere. 10:00am. Some
ladies will still be going to Mokaba. Meet at the car park at the Town
Basin in front of the Bach at 9:30am. Email wingsnz@hotmail.com if you
want to carpool.
25th FEBRUARY 2012- SATURADAY: BEACH DAY. 11:00am-4:00pm.
Join Leslie and the WINGS friends at Wooleys Beach.
Leslie will set up two canopies. Bring your family and friends
along with a picnic lunch. Fun for the whole family. Don't forget your
sunscreen. |
